Rolling Hills Ranch
In 2003, The Corky McMillin Companies purchased the remainder of the 1,200 – acre master-planned community of Rolling Hills Ranch from Pacific Bay Homes, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. Rolling Hills Ranch became the 8th master-planned community to be developed by The Corky McMillin Companies in the South Bay.
McMillin started the second phase of development for Rolling Hills Ranch and ultimately built approximately half of the 2,400 homes within the community. The McMillin neighborhoods of Chambord, Fairhaven and Quintessa have already been completed and the last McMillin – built neighborhood, Verona is currently selling. Verona is located on the highest lots within the community and its large, semi-custom homes have commanding views of surrounding panoramic hills and the Otay Lakes.
In addition to its many residential neighborhoods, Rolling Hills Ranch is home to several neighborhood swim clubs, Thurgood Marshall Elementary School, and 29-acre Montevalle Community Park which has a 20,000 square foot community center and several ball fields, basketball courts and tennis courts as well as passive picnic areas and walking trails.
